Contract Appointment

Our Contract appointment was held on 26th of July.

A lot of preparation went into it as we were still going back and forth with choosing things. We made it early for the appointment and waited to be called.

Our consultant Simon was pretty good. He was patient enough to listen and to respond. Since we wanted an August site start we had to get things going.

We had to go through many documents and read through the contract to get it signed. It was a bit more thorough than expected because it went for over 5 hours! There were some changes incorporated for which we will be getting post contract variation document which is not part of the main contract.

So we signed the contract and it seems it's all systems go and we are glad its done.

National Tiles Appointment

We started early morning to Hopetun to finalise our colour selections and lo and behold we changed our exterior colours. 

After that we went to National tiles for our tile appointment. This was the part that we loved the most. because it was the easiest of it all. Since we are going timber and carpet for our flooring it was just the laundry and bathrooms that we needed to select the tiles for.

We are pretty much excited to see how our selections going to turn into reality in our new home.

Hopetun and Electrical Appointment

We had both our Hopetun and Electrical Appointment on the same day. After reading from forums we knew its going to be a long day.

The colour selection was in a rush. We only had the general plan to start with. 

After finishing Colours, we had a good one hour break. Electrical appointment was done by Karen. We were prepared well in advance with where we wanted the switches and lights. So it went well and we did not have much of a difficulty choosing them. 

The only thing that had us upset was that PD wasn't installing the sensor needed for the flood lights outside the home and that to keep the energy rating to be 6 star we have to pay for the sensor.

Tender Signing

After a whole lot of going back and forth we signed our tender on the 11th of July 2013.

Now just have to wait for the appointments for colour and electrical.
